About Me
David DeGrow Shotwell is an award-winning writer/producer and two-time Nicholl semifinalist with a distinguished storytelling background.His debut feature film, THE BOUNCEBACK, premiered at SXSW and became a New York Times Critics’ Pick before securing distribution through Tribeca Films.David holds a BA from Central Michigan University and completed his post-graduate work at UCLA in both their Screenwriting and Producing Programs while working there for three years as a TA.Before becoming a screenwriter, David worked in development at The Montecito Picture Company and WideAwake, Inc. In these roles, he was instrumental in identifying and nurturing fresh talent, new voices, and innovative projects.Over the years, he has been privileged to work with some of the best in the business, including during his time as a Creative Executive and Director of Development, as well as while delivering story lectures and doing Q and As at Chapman University, UCLA, and SXSW.David also has a wife and two dogs that rule the roost.
